Princess Cruises has unveiled the itinerary details for its coveted 12th annual World Cruise out of Australia.
The 106-day cruise aboard the 2,000-passenger Sea Princess, which is on sale now, will depart May 10, 2019 and cover more than 34,000 nautical miles through the Indian Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Panama Canal and Pacific Ocean.
The once-in-a-lifetime voyage will sail roundtrip from Sydney, Brisbane or Auckland and is available in four segments starting in Sydney, Dubai, London and New York. The segments can be combined into 46- to 60-day voyages embarking or disembarking in London or New York.
In total, the full-length cruise will visit 39 destinations in 32 different countries spanning five continents.
Passengers will have access to more than 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and 13 additional ashore calls. The 2019 sailing will also make maiden calls to Portland, U.K., Puntarenas, Costa Rica and Salaverry, Peru. Shore excursions to Stonehenge, Petra and the Sacred City of Kandy are optional, as is an overland tour to Machu Picchu.
What's more, guests will enjoy two-day stays in Dubai, St. Petersburg and New York.
"A world voyage with Princess Cruises is an incredible and care-free way to explore the many far off and desired destinations around the globe," Princess Cruises and Carnival Australia group president, Jan Swartz said in a statement accompanying Wednesday's announcement.
