Royal Caribbean International has launched a brand new television ad set to debut in the U.K. Monday ahead of Wave Season.
Part of the cruise line's new "Where Extraordinary Happens" campaign, the 40-second commercial takes on a documentary feel and showcases the variety of experiences available to cruise passengers outside of the ship.
Lanzarote and Barcelona are two of the destinations featured in the ad, which was directed by Nez Khammal, known for his work on a handful of music videos, including electronic duo Disclosure.
One hot destination not shown in the commercial is Cuba, which Royal Caribbean's parent company, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. recently received approval to sail to.
"The realism and tranquility of our advert should give viewers a different perspective of a cruise holiday and time to reflect on their own holiday moments," said Royal Caribbean's director of marketing Mario Bounas in a statement. "We want to showcase the incredible destinations our guests can visit and the memories they can make by holidaying with Royal Caribbean."

The multi-million dollar Where Extraordinary Happens campaign extends well beyond the television screen, with ads having been created for radio, digital, social platforms.
Once it debuts in the U.K. on Boxing Day, the ad will continue to run on all major U.K. stations and their digital subsidiaries until the first week of February 2017.
