Waterways & Beyond is proud to announce the debut of a new itinerary route for its luxury hotel yacht Grand Victoria, which travels the Canal du Bourgogne and the Saone River in Burgundy, France. Commencing in April 2017, the Grand Victoria will offer a third itinerary for six person charter routes in Southern Burgundy, from Chagny to Lyon, the gastronomic hub of France.
Newly renovated and furnished, the Grand Victoria offers a luxurious cruise experience for the discerning traveler. Highlights of the cruise includes private tours of historic sites such as Chateau la Rochepot and Roche de Soultre, truffle farms and local museums, and private wine tastings at renowned wineries of Burgundy.
Other cruise highlights include hidden gems of the Burgundy region, including the Musee Denon in Chalon-sur-Saone, which is home to numerous portraits and sculptures owned by a former Louvre curator. Off-board meals in Chalon and Lyon give passengers a taste of local culture and cuisine, and the Grand Victoria’s experienced tour guide will ensure guests get the most of their journey.
The Grand Victoria charter cruises are priced at $38,900 for a whole boat charter for six passengers. Prices include all meals, an open bar, all tours and admissions fees, and local transfers from Paris, Lyon, or Geneva.
