If you're looking for an epic party this Spring Break season, you would be wise to head to either Orlando, Florida or Cancun, Mexico.
According to Allianz Global Assistance, those are the top domestic and international destinations for Spring Break 2017, respectively, based on more than four million trips planned by Allianz customers between Feb. 24 and April 9 for travel between five and eight days in length.
On Thursday, the travel insurance and assistance company revealed the most popular Spring Break destinations in the U.S. and abroad.
Trailing Orlando (8.62 percent of all domestic offers) domestically are a handful of warm-weather destinations in Las Vegas (5.29 percent), Phoenix (4.38 percent), Fort Lauderdale (4.13 percent), Los Angeles (4 percent) and Fort Myers (3.94 percent), followed by Denver (3.69 percent), Salt Lake City (3.35 percent), San Francisco (3.14 percent) and Tampa (3.04 percent).

When it comes to the busiest time to travel for Spring Break, March 11, 2017, reigns supreme, with 10 percent of Allianz's domestic and international Spring Break 2017 travelers planning to travel that day.
Feb. 26 (2.65 percent) will be among the quieter days for domestic Spring Break travel this year, while March 1 (2.53 percent) will be among the better days to head to your international Spring Break destination—according to Allianz's data.
Although no April dates crack the top 10 when it comes to the busiest domestic Spring Break travel dates, April 8 and April 1 are among the busiest travel dates of international travel around Spring Break, with those dates accounting for 3.87 percent and 3.4 percent of all of Allianz's international offers.
"The review showed a good mix of beach, skiing and well-known destinations attracting Americans for spring break this year," said Allianz Global Assistance USA's director of communications Daniel Durazo in a statement. "Our statistics showed that most people are traveling mid to late in the week. To avoid long lines at the airport and other inconveniences, we recommend booking travel for a Monday or Tuesday."
