Greater Fort Lauderdale to Partner with IGLTA at ITB

As part of its new 2013 “Hello Sunny” branding campaign, which includes a revived focus on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) marketing, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau will partner with the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA) it ITB in Berlin and share IGLTA’s stand in the conference’s Gay and Lesbian Pavilion with other major LGBT destinations from March 6 to 10.
“The pink pavilion is a much-loved staple of the ITB conference each year and we’re privileged to work with IGLTA and say Hello Sunny to European consumers, travel agents and media,” said Richard Gray, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau’s (CVB) newly appointed managing director for the LGBT Market. “We’re committed to increasing our presence in the LGBT market around the world.”
Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, IGLTA and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau have a long-standing relationship to increase the profile of LGBT travel.
“ITB is one of the most important international tourism trade fairs in the world, and with partners like the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau we are able to better promote LGBT tourism,” said IGLTA President/CEO John Tanzella.
