Irish Golf Tournament Raises Funds for Golden Eagle Preservation
Destination & Tourism February 18, 2013
As part of Ireland’s The Gathering 2013, Golf Travel ETC, North and West Coast Links, Rosapenna Golf Resort and Ballyliffin Golf Club are hosting the first “Search for a Golden Eagle” Golf Tournament, taking place Sept. 22 to 26, which is fully commissionable to agents. County Donegal, home to some of the world’s best links, will welcome golfers from around the world in search of the Golden Eagle.
While enjoying one of Ireland’s leading golf resorts and playing four links courses, golfers will also be helping to bring back the Golden Eagle to its natural habitat in County Donegal. Every golfer taking part in the tournament will become “A Friend of the Golden Eagle Trust” for a year as a result of a donation made on their behalf. During this four-man, four-day tournament there will be team and individual prizes and, of course, special rewards for eagles.
