LEGOLAND Florida Resort is celebrating real-life heroes this spring.
The Winter Haven-based attraction announced Monday that police, firefighters and EMS personnel will receive free single-day admission to the theme park now through the end of May. (Water park access is also available with a $20-per-ticket upgrade.)
The month-long promotion is open to both active and retired personnel working within the U.S.
Eligible positions include: Fire-and-rescue first responders; emergency medical services employees; municipal and county police and sheriff’s officers; highway patrol officers; corrections officers; state and federal law enforcement officers; fish and wildlife field officers; U.S. Forest Service rangers; National Park Service officers; Homeland Security agents and environmental protection officers.
Eligible visitors can present their employee ID or organization membership card at one of LEGOLAND Florida Resort's ticket windows on the day of their visit to receive complimentary entry. However, promotion isn't available online, over the phone or through ticket resellers.
Police, firefighters and other emergency service members will also be able to take advantage of free park access on as many as four LEGO Star Wars Days on May 6-7 and May 13-14.

Keep in mind the theme park is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays this month but remains open an hour or two later on weekends.
It's also worth pointing out that the water park is only open select dates in May. It will open fully for the season on May 26. However, until then it will only be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Overall, LEGOLAND Florida Resort boasts dozens of rides and attractions inspired by various themes, including the new interactive LEGO NINJAGO The Ride, which TravelPulse's own Joel Cordes reviewed with his family last month.
