The Best Winter Beach Destinations for Fall

When the temperatures are dropping, sometimes a warm-weather getaway is just the thing to soothe the soul and Harper’s Bazaar has come with a list of the perfect beaches to warm up on this winter.
Topping the list: Koh Samui, Thailand.
“The Thai Islands are the ultimate destination for sun seekers looking for a departure from the standard Caribbean getaway,” writes Carrie Goldberg.
Another far-flung locale: Zanzibar, Tanzania.
“If you are after a beach destination with added adventure, Zanzibar, an archipelago off the coast of East Africa in the Indian Ocean should tick all the boxes. The beaches here are some of the best you'll ever see, and the ability to tack this trip on after a more active safari jaunt in the Serengeti is a plus,” notes Goldberg.
For a classic Caribbean destination, head to St. Lucia.
“While St. Maarten, St. Barths, St. Vincent & The Grenadines and St. Thomas are all unbelievable options for those looking to escape low temperatures, St. Lucia has risen to the top of the list for those looking to take a quick trip from the East Coast or delve deeper than an all inclusive resort,” writes Goldberg.
For those in the west, Oahu might be one of the best bets.

“We know this idea isn't the most original, and there's reason for that–it's possibly one of the best beach destinations on the planet,” says Goldberg.
Pro tip: Head to the North Shore, she recommends.
