This week, the Travel A.L.L.I.E.S. Society kicked-off an exciting new travel advisor mentorship program.
Travel A.L.L.I.E.S. Society, which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, is committed to developing leaders within our industry and creating a community of knowledge.
Jennifer Doncsecz, Travel A.L.L.I.E.S. Society president said, “This newest evolution will help take our organization to the next level in fulfilling our mission to elevate our industry and foster leadership. The opportunity for positive mentors to help others advance their careers and businesses is so important and much needed. And, it is a two-way street, as the mentors also benefit through their engagement with some of the best and brightest young people in our industry.”
In support of this commitment, this new Mentorship Program is designed to engage, develop, promote, and inspire fellow travel professionals. The main component of this 6-month program is regular mentorship engagement with a Travel A.L.L.I.E.S. Society member through a combination of 1:1 conversations and periodic group sessions. In addition, resources and tools such as articles, conversation guides, and discussion points on various topics to help both the mentors and mentees learn, grow, and succeed.
The key core objectives of the program include networking opportunities, career planning and navigation, fostering a purposeful and reciprocal partnership with mutual learning opportunities, reflection and the ability to put learnings into practice. While at the same time, the program participants have the opportunity to identify and gain insights on the challenges that travel professionals are facing in an ever-changing industry.
In this initial phase of the program, the mentees selected for the program are Niki Hendrix, Keisha Adriano, Kristie Paulson, Jessica Pressler, Maeghen Tripp, Sarah Barlow, and Belvin Baldwin II. The volunteer mentors are Niki Rakowitz, Samarah Meil, Sandy Anderson, Lori Speers, Sam Yaffe, Laure Poffenberger, and Tom Brussow.
