WATCH: Las Vegas' Hilarious New 'What Happens Here, Stays Here' Ad

“What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”
This saying has resonated around the world since being introduced as part of a Vegas marketing campaign years ago.
You don’t just hear “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” anymore. You hear, “What happened at my birthday party, stays at my birthday party.” You hear, “What happened at the bocce ball tournament, stays at the bocce ball tournament.” You hear, “What happened at the water cooler, stays at the water cooler.”
It’s a tribute to the marketing campaign’s slogan, which is—to put it plainly—brilliant.
Naturally, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) continues to use the slogan to its full advantage after a year that saw Vegas bring in 41.1 million visitors, a record for the destination.
Las Vegas launched the third and final installment of the 2014-2015 "What Happens Here, Stays Here" campaign today with "The Secret."
As an ode to classic horror films, the commercial shows the lead character getting stalked at his home, at the office and at a neighborhood diner with the creepy message, “I know what you did.”
The lead character, understandably distressed—and appearing as if he really did have something to hide—becomes frantic as the story develops.
He finally meets his stalker where you would expect a stalker to appear: In the back seat of your car.
But the lead character isn’t worried about anything beyond what he did in Vegas that one time.
“Is this about Vegas?” he asks.
When the stalker looks at him in confusion, he says with a sigh of relief, “Did I say Vegas? You scared me for a second.”
The LVCVA also launched two other commercials during the 2014-2015 campaign, titled “Watercooler and “Transformation.”
In “Watercooler,” the lead character smartly tips over the water cooler at the office after presumably staying in Vegas recently, ensuring his approaching colleagues don’t ask any questions and no gossip is spread.
“Transformation” follows a man and a woman throughout each of their experiences in Vegas as they go to different venues and change their appearance with the times before ultimately meeting up again at an “Imagine Dragons” concert.
Vegas now features more than 150,000 hotel rooms and almost 11 million square feet of meeting and exhibit space after popular hotels such as The Cromwell, Delano Las Vegas and SLS Las Vegas opened up in 2014.
There are more experiences than ever to prompt Vegas’ famous slogan.
