British Airways proved you don’t need to take cameras up in the sky to capture the beauty of flight.
Previously, the airline publicized its new A380 airbus flights from London to Singapore with a stroke of brilliance, casting actress Gwyneth Paltrow to serve as the face of the big news.
Around the same time the airline posted the following video to capture the grandeur of the flight, using what it states as the “magic of 4D projection,” via YouTube.
Suddenly things are far more calm and peaceful on our end as we are lulled by a captivating trip through the virtual world.
The video’s description explains: “To celebrate the launch of this flagship aircraft to Singapore we used some of the world’s most precise 4D projection technology to create a visually breath-taking video of the aircraft's journey.”
Film buffs are provided a bit more explanation on how this was all achieved, including the relatively miniscule size of the faux jumbo jet: “Seven high powered projectors have been used to map a world of stunning effects on and around a 1:20 size scale model of an Airbus A380. Tracking the journey to Singapore, the video depicts beautiful scenes including ‘the canvas above the clouds’ scene which uses dry ice to recreate the serenity and beauty of flight.”
Those loyal to the airline might see the new flights as a beautiful thing indeed. British Airways seems determined to hammer home that sentiment.
