You can tell from the long list of nominations just how well received the movie truly was, garnering attention for its pace and style.
As so many have recounted since its opening, the Namib Desert deserves a great deal of thanks for the warm reception, stepping in for the Australian landscape with some truly gorgeous vistas.
Stuff.co.nz offers a nice breakdown of what you can expect from a visit to the region and what that kind of holiday might entail.
The Revenant

Alejandro Inarritu’s movie is set to dominate the proceedings on Sunday, which is some consolation for cast and crew that had to deal with an extremely arduous shoot.
Thankfully, you don’t have to avenge your son or deal with any grumpy bears by visiting one of the more verdant locations in Alberta.
And if the movie itself didn’t convince you how gorgeous this place is, consider that it was shot with natural light.
Brooklyn
Nominations: Best Picture, Actress in a Leading Role, Writing (Adapted Screenplay)
Various Locations: Brooklyn; Montreal; County Wexford, Ireland
Suggested Trip:
“Brooklyn” is a captivating movie that illustrates how easily a foreign land can become home.
While a touching tale, you will find yourself enamored with the time period and setting, which you can enjoy in some capacity if you are ever in County Wexford, Ireland.
As The Irish Times explains, a trip to Enniscorthy is where you will find a major part of the Irish portion of the film.
The Hateful Eight
Nominations: Music (Original Score), Actress in a Supporting Role, Cinematography
Various Locations: Telluride, Colorado
Suggested Trip:
A short ride from Telluride, Colorado, is Schmid Ranch, which was used exclusively for the wide-sweeping exterior shots in the latest Quentin Tarantino movie.
Understandably, the ranch has seen a noticeable uptick in tourists dropping by to pay homage to the director’s Oscar-nominated film.
Ex Machina

Artificial intelligence is still a ways off, which is great news for anyone who has enjoyed this mesmerizing look at technology.
However, you can enjoy some of the amazing scenery seen in the movie, even down to parts of the home featured in the movie.
As we mentioned back in April, Norway plays a major role in the movie — as does the Juvet Landscape Hotel in Valldal, Norway.
Booking a night there offers vistas you will want to share with your favorite synthetic significant other.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
