Iberia Airlines Plan to Make Its Airplanes Nice and Smelly

Iberia Airlines would like you to take a moment and savor the luxurious smell emanating about the cabin.
Granted, this is hardly the first thing you want to do upon boarding any flight. In fact, holding your breath for 10 hours seems like a worthy endeavor when sitting next to some passengers.
New Telegraph's Wole Shadare reports the airline will introduce a new innovation that will heighten its passenger’s enjoyment of their respective flight, featuring a new and hopefully welcomed fragrance.
Essentially, the airline will pump a soft smell into the cabin, which is described as such:
"The “Mediterráneo de Iberia” fragrance has notes of fruit, flowers and wood, with a touch of citrus: lemon, orange, bergamot and mandarin, elegantly combined to high-light the delicate scent of orange blossom."
If it’s taking suggestions, I would request pumping in a gas that just knocks you out until you reach your destination. That one’s free, Iberia.
The aroma push comes in tandem with Spanish music that will also play as passengers board and depart, giving travelers a very distinct experience.
Carolina Martinoli, Iberia’s Director of Marketing, had this to say about the peculiar innovation: “Our aim is to go further than a simple brand image change. We want to transform the customer experience in every point of contact.”
My first worry is that the aroma, as pleasing as it sounds, might be overwhelming to those far more sensitive nostrils in the air. Anyone passing by someone wearing far too much foo-foo juice will attest that alluring smells can quickly become nauseating.
However, I applaud the creativity, because there are certainly some cabins that need the noselift at times. The only real problem we see is this could quickly become the equivalent of using a body spray in place of a shower, which, as my nose demands, is no replacement at all.
