For some, a trip out with the family means dressing from head to toe in costumes from popular video game franchises.
Take clan Jamie Lee Curtis, for instance. The crew headed on out for a family getaway to the EVO Championship Series in Las Vegas this past weekend.
As Kotaku reports, the trip was a graduation celebration for Curtis’ son Thomas. And, as you see below, the whole family, including husband Christopher Guest, got into character.
Button mashers will recognize Curtis as Vega from Street Fighter, who is about as useful as Zangief with claws.
And Guest, who you might know from “This is Spinal Tap” and “The Princess Bride,” went as Doctor Geppetto Bosconovitch from Tekken.

The 56-year-old actress offered more tweets on the family vacation:
Sums up the trip to Vegas. @evo2k and the gaming community so warm and welcoming. What lovely people. pic.twitter.com/xxojMUvkN8

There is no word as to whether the famed actress was there to compete or just enjoy the festivities while lurking from behind a mask.
What’s clear is the family understands the basic tenet behind successful family holidays: Everybody jumps into the deep end.
These getaways are so much better when the entire family enjoys themselves. Thankfully, this doesn’t always mandate getting into full video-game costume.
