Jungle Island, South Florida’s iconic eco-adventure destination, has opened two new escape rooms, adding to its continued rollout of a variety of interactive and family-friendly amenities. Designed by the escape room design firm Escape Logics, the escape rooms have been developed to provide children and adults with exhilarating experiences that integrate Jungle Island’s natural environment.
“Jungle Island has always been a destination where visitors can enjoy innovative experiences in one of Miami’s most desirable locations,” said John Dunlap, CEO of Iconic Attractions Group. “We’re excited to bring new interactive features that bring families and friends together in this South Florida landmark.”
Two escape rooms are now ready to elevate the experience for every guest, each carefully designed to combine both theater and amusement with unique plots and themes. Developed with family-friendly adventures in mind, the rooms can be adjusted to fit the appropriate difficulty level of the participants.
Additional escape rooms will be added in the near future and current themes include:
The Cabin in the Jungle: Guests will find themselves trapped inside a cabin with a time bomb that is set to go off in 30 minutes. Using the puzzles, props, ciphers and clues, they must figure out the bomb’s disarm code, and escape in time.
The Asylum: Guests are locked inside the experimental ward of a former asylum for the criminally insane. The room has only about 30 minutes of oxygen inside. Participants must work together as a team by solving puzzles, props and clues in order to escape before they run out of air.
Earlier this month, Jungle Island premiered three new amenities that are becoming park favorites for locals and tourists alike:
SuperFlight: South Florida’s first permanently installed vertical wind tunnel with outdoor free fall simulation.
NeoSplash: A thrilling pop up water park with multiple jumbo-sized slides.
The Battleground: A Nerf foam dart challenge course.
Additional amenities will continue to debut at Jungle Island throughout the year. Upcoming attractions include Flying Squirrel—an expansive indoor trampoline park; a flow rider wave machine; Miami’s first immersive zip line course; and a beachfront dining experience. The final piece, a manmade Crystal Lagoon, is scheduled to open in summer 2019.
