Stories of doppelgangers have been common for generations, but have you ever thought about what you would do if you met someone who looked exactly like you?
That's exactly the fate Neil Douglas of Glasgow, Scotland, faced when he came face-to-face with Robert Stirling of London, England, on a Ryanair flight from Stansted to Shannon Airport in Ireland Thursday night.
According to Lydia Willgress of the Daily Mail, Douglas went to ask a man sitting in his seat to move, but "the guy looked up, I thought: 'Holy s***, he looks like me.'"
The two men have similar beards, hair color and style, big smiles, facial features and even clothing. The other passengers onboard also noticed the unlikely occurrence, and the entire flight got a huge kick out of the doppelganger appearance.
What makes the event even stranger was that the men talked during the flight and discovered they were staying at the same hotel. Just to drive the doppelganger theory home even further, the men also randomly met up at several pubs while drinking across the area.
A Ryanair spokesman told the Daily Mail, "It just goes to show, when you fly Ryanair, you pay half the fares but have twice the fun."
Lee Beattie, who is a friend of Douglas' wife, shared the image on Twitter:
The similarities are stunning.
