Mexico Tourism Board Harnesses The Power of Tequila Clouds
Entertainment Gabe Zaldivar March 27, 2017

The dream of any frat boy or sorority girl is to have the rivers run with beer and the clouds rain down tequila.
Mexico may have solved the tequila cloud part.
A press release explains that the Mexico Tourism Board, in an attempt to remind German locals how wonderful a trip to its country might be, made a tequila cloud.
Yes, like some mythical god, the tourism board made a cloud that rained down tequila as if it was pledge week on fraternity row.
Rather than make tenuous life decisions, however, Germans pleasantly wandered by and sipped from this amazing innovation at what is described as a Berlin art installation.

According to my calculations, the tourism board must have used the crushed bones of ancient animals, the tears of an older Menudo fan and years of tequila wizardry know-how to conjure the cloud you see above.
Or, if you believe the video, it was thanks to the ingenuity of global creative agency LAPIZ and its work with ultrasonic humidifiers. A release explains that these humidifiers “vibrate tequila at the right high frequency to turn it into visible mist.”
Using a computer to program the frequency, the cloud was condensed enough to turn the mist into droplets of that wonderful liquor that turns everyone into a superhero.
I have no idea whether it will garner more German tourists, but it certainly makes me feel a lot better about the idea of inclement weather. Oh, and I'm off to buy a humidifier.
