Mick Jagger reportedly flew to the Caribbean island of Mustique to help him come to terms with the death of his lover L'Wren Scott.
The 70-year-old Rolling Stones singer is believed to be staying in a seafront villa, where he and the late fashion designer often vacationed together, The Mirror reports.
Mick has allegedly been joined for the retreat by his eldest daughter Karis, who is said to have become his rock in the wake of the tragedy, in which L'Wren was found dead in her New York apartment last month.
Sources say Mick and his family have been relaxing on the beach and dining together on the island, where he owns a stunning villa.
The Jaggers also reportedly had a meal at the island’s popular spot Basil’s Bar, where they remembered L’Wren with a meal.
“Mustique was always a special place for Mick and L’Wren, who spent many holidays there together and often went to relax over Christmas and New Year. They would be surrounded by friends and family there, a million miles away from their hectic lifestyles, and felt they could truly relax. L’Wren even went there for a break in the weeks before she died — it was their most intimate place and very peaceful. It’s the perfect place for him to start his recovery - which is going to take a long time. He may never truly come to terms with what has happened, but he’s in the best place for him right now," a source said.
Mick and his bandmates are set to return to the stage on May 26 in Oslo, after postponing their world tour following the tragedy.
