From expensive hot dogs to pricey hamburgers, we have you covered on how to properly make it rain on your next vacation.
Our first stop is in Seattle where you can find a hot dog that comes with Maitake mushrooms, Wagyu beef, foie gras and one insane price tag. NBC News’ Harriet Baskas spotted what is reportedly the most expensive hot dog in the world, offered by the Tokyo Dog food truck.
Here it is in all its glory thanks to tweets from Tokyo Dog and Guinness World Records:
We are world record holders! Over $1,000 donated to Red Cross and an awesome hot dog! http://t.co/EmWhVHtqf3 pic.twitter.com/E3W0Ik9idm

Chomping down on the Juuni Ban will run you $169, but it comes with black truffles, caviar and that wonderful feeling of giving to a good cause. According to the report, “proceeds go to the American Red Cross.” Sounds amazing, but we will stick to our boring mustard and sauerkraut.
Now that we have the great hot dog conundrum settled, we decided to take a quick look at some relatively normal food items offered at exorbitant prices. Here are just a few that demand smashing of any and all piggy banks.
Corn Dog:
You don’t exactly buy this corn dog so much as you make an investment in your gastrointestinal future.
Forbes’ Maury Brown reports on the Arizona Diamondbacks’ “D-Bat Dog,” which will run you $25 and the awkward looks from friends who will judge you the second you come back from the concession stands with this thing.
Here is a look thanks to Arizona Sports 98.7:

Anyone else blushing?
Hamburgers:
Who knew meat stuffed between two patties could spiral out of control so quickly? The New York Daily News’ Gina Pace spotted a gut bomb that your wallet will feel.
New York’s Beer & Buns features the Indulgence Burger that comes with, “Kobe beef, foie gras, crispy pancetta, white truffles and caviar.” The only thing super-sized, however, is the price, which comes in at a whopping $250.
While impressive, the winner, winner, chicken dinner goes to Le Burger Extravagant, featured at New York’s posh Serendipity 3. The extravagance costs $295, because $300 would be ridiculous.
Here is the insane world-record holder featured on ABC News:
Truffles and caviar, it would seem, go great on absolutely everything.
Pizza:
Haute Living’s Bryan Shaw compiled a list of the world’s priciest pies, because sometimes Domino's just won’t cut it.
There is a $250 pizza found at Gordon Ramsey’s Maze restaurant in London that looks absolutely delicious. And there is a pie in Glasgow that will run you $4,200, which makes sense when you consider gold is a topping.
However, the cream of a very creamy crop is the pizza found at Luis XIII in Salerno, Italy. Shaw describes the $12,000 pizza below:
“The price tag on this one is straight ridiculous. What makes this pie so expensive? Well, the creation takes 72 hours to make because the dough is given ample time to rest before being made into the most expensive pie the world has ever known. It is topped with bufala mozzarella, three types of caviar, lobster from Norway and Cilento, and it is lightly dusted with hand picked grains of pink Australian sea-salt from the Murray River. The cost includes service (thank God), and this pie can only be made in your home. That’s right, three Italian chefs will show up at your villa and make it for you in the comfort of your kitchen.”
Shake:
This shake brings all the high rollers to the bar.
The LA Times’ Jenn Harris reports Los Angeles hot spot the Powder Room featured a $500 shake when it opened in 2013. Lactose intolerant folks can take joy in knowing they also get a Swarovski Nirvana Montana crystal ring, which retailed for $190. First We Feast reports the shake also includes an, “edible gold leaf.”
Heartburn home remedies:
In light of the previous food items and price tags, we thought we might feature one more list that is suddenly apropos. Here is a link to WebMD’s home remedies for heartburn.
Now if you need me, I will be looking for a burger meal for under $5.
