Trump Hotels Is Getting Massive Twitter Backlash Over Travel Ban

The Trump Hotels brand saw a lot of Twitter reaction to a tweet sent out a little over five years ago.

Simply, it was just that kind of weekend.

As RT.com spotted, many across the social media channel had an absolute field day with what would have been nothing more than a forgotten tweet sent on an October day back in 2011, but thanks to an executive order that turned the travel industry into an ongoing mess of protests, detained migrants and complete confusion many were left little recourse but to vent online.

Donald Trump's executive order had a tremendous and immediate impact on travel into the country for those coming from seven nations, which includes those seeking refuge from the turmoil in Syria.

In the short term, it even means immigrants legally here are being advised at the moment not to travel.

So you could see how the last question you might ask at a moment like this is one's favorite travel moment. During the last few days, nothing seemed all that wonderful or promising about the prospect.

Well, Trump Hotels asked that very thing in 2011:
