Please don’t try this at home, which would mean your home is a yet to be fully constructed building in Lyon, France.
Mashable spotted the latest BASE jumping spectacle looming over on YouTube, which features a pair of adventurers spelunking into a construction site for an eventual tumble to the ground blow.
The video’s description is sadly devoid of much in the way of information aside from confirmation that the rather appropriate song is “Big Jumps” by Emiliana Torrini.
As you can see below, this is one grand leap:
Rarely are we afforded this kind of vantage of the city below, and that’s by design. Not only is the practice extremely dangers, it’s banned.
French website 20Minutes.fr reminds, via Google Translate, that the practice is forbidden in and around the town.
It states jumping off from such an edifice is “totally banned in the city for public monuments.”
Not only is getting to the top treacherous but landing is a tricky endeavor as well. The second BASE jumper seems precariously close to landing on a road that features oncoming traffic.
Still, we can’t help but sit captivated by an audacious practice that is met with such nonchalance from these two ludicrous leapers.
