WHY IT RATES: Courtyard by Marriott will transform a field-level suite at U.S. Bank Stadium into a one-of-a-kind Super Bowl LII guestroom ahead of the Big Game.—Patrick Clarke, TravelPulse Senior Writer
Thousands entered to win Courtyard by Marriott's Super Bowl Sleepover Contest, which allows one fan and a guest to wake up on the field at Super Bowl LII.
Watch as the most passionate fan is about to be surprised by his favorite player—Peyton Manning—that he’s won the contest:
The winner, Courey Marshall of San Diego, became a diehard Broncos fan after previously following Indianapolis when Manning played there. His entry caught the attention of the judges and he was set to visit a nearby Courtyard under the guise of doing a photo shoot for contest finalists.
Courey and his wife, Chelsea, will next be hosted in a field-level stadium suite turned ultimate Courtyard guestroom on the eve of Super Bowl LII, as they then wake up on the field as the first fans at the game.
They’ll also receive a night of customized in-stadium experiences, surprises and access to exclusive events throughout the weekend, culminating with game tickets.
To allow more fans to envision what it’s like to sleep on the field, Courtyard also created a first-of-its-kind 4D Virtual Reality Dome to deliver an incredible cinematic experience for fans that replicates Marshall’s experience and also gives them an opportunity to win a pair of Super Bowl tickets. The experience is free and open to the public on Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3 inside the Mall of America.
Courtyard is in its seventh season as the "Official Hotel of the NFL."
