We Can’t Believe The Stunning Mini-Winter Ski Resort This Teenager Made

There is hardly anything better than a soul-satisfying day on the slopes followed by a night indoors warming yourself by the fire. But you can’t bring the slopes home with you.
One teenager spent seven years ensuring that his family would always have the ski slopes in their own backyard, crafting a remarkable 1:32 scale model of an actual ski resort.
The Telegraph introduces us to 17 year-old Kevin Pobatschnig’s mini-masterpiece, a miniature that will put all of your Lego hotels and replica resorts to absolute shame.
Before we get to the particulars, take a look at a fully working, minus living tiny skiers, ski resort.
As you can see, hardly a detail was missed. Pobatschnig modeled his resort right down to the working lifts and iconic orange fencing that seems to adorn every bunny hill and slope we have ever encountered.

As you would imagine, a highly detailed endeavor such as this takes a bit of time. In this case, the teenager started back when he was 10, employing his newfound knowledge of “cabling and how to make an electrical relay.”
Seven years later the Internet has garden-sized whimsy in the form of this winter wonderland.
As for what an undertaking such as this takes on a daily basis – when it’s in operation – Pobatschnig explains, “I use about 250 litres of water per hour, and two kilowatts of electricity.”
The teenager’s inspiration may very well have been his neighborhood resort. We assume living next to Austria’s Bad Kleinkirchheim didn’t hurt matters.
It’s near impossible not to have a bad snow day in this area. And, in nearby Radenthein, this is also true of any miniature toys that spring to life and want to take out the skis and snowboards for a few runs.
