Features & Advice Ryan Rudnansky December 15, 2013

For those of you who can afford to bathe in luxury, there are several prime locations in the world you must visit as the year 2013 comes to a close.
Whether you prefer the Caribbean, the East Coast of the United States or the Middle East, butlers and 5-star restaurants are just waiting to service your every need.
Want to go on a beach adventure with 14 of your closest (and wealthiest) friends?
You're covered.
Want to sit quietly in elegance, away from the bright lights of New York City?
Done.
Want to travel the entire globe?
Well, what are you waiting for?
Here are five luxury vacations for the rich and famous.
Ani Villas
Ani Villas, the exclusive Caribbean resort in Anguilla, is offering a $250,000 package for up to 14 guests called the "Ultimate Connoisseur Beach Escape" that includes a week-long stay, a round-trip private jet service from the continental United States or Canada, wines and champagnes from top brands and a private chef and full staff to provide customary dining experiences.
Chef Kelston Connor, aka "Chef Sweets," customizes menus based on guest preferences and a Moet Hennessy expert will guide travelers to fantastic pairings from Moet & Chandon, Dom Perignon, Veuve Clicquot, Krug, Ruinart, Cloudy Bay and Numanthia.
The Moet Ice Mead's Bay Beach Butler Barbecue is a Caribbean beach barbecue on Mead's Bay. It includes butler service, musicians and privileged experience.
The Rose Sunset Cruise offers a Caribbean sailing adventure to a private island. Along the way, sip Ruinart Rose Champagne. When you get there, dine on fresh Anguilla seafood with Cloudy Bay and Numanthia selections.
Guests who choose the Dom Perignon Little Bay Cliffside Reggae Splash are served seven courses courtesy of "Chef Sweets" and sip on seven vintages of Dom Perignon. Finish off the night dancing to reggae music under the stars.

Calivigny Island
Calivigny Island in the Caribbean is dubbed as "the world's most luxurious holiday resort for the rich and famous," so I'd say it makes the list.
The 81-acre private island starts at around $52,000 per night, according to Jetsetter. From the Beach House to the Overhang House to the Beach Bungalows, it includes 19 suites and three two-bedroom cottages.
Services are available 24 hours per day, whether you are being cooked fresh meals with local ingredients by world-class chefs, hanging out in the pools and jacuzzis, strolling the gazebos or enjoying magnificent views.
For the fitness and sports buffs, the island's six beaches provide amenities for tennis, swimming, jogging, working out, water skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing, snorkeling, wake boarding, sailing and fishing.
A fleet of boats is also available to guests…so there's that.
World's Most Expensive Vacation
Through VeryFirstTo and Hurlingham Travel, you can visit 962 UNESCO World Heritage sites on a two-year cruise, while staying in luxurious hotels like The Plaza in New York City and the Cipriani Hotel in Venice, Italy.
You can also travel to historic and breathtaking destinations like the Taj Mahal in India, the Forbidden City in Beijing, the Great Pyramids in Egypt and Machu Picchu in Peru.
All the while, you will travel in business and first class.
Heck, some of your money is even donated to UNESCO, a worthwhile cause.
The one catch?
The trip is 990,000 pounds, or $1.5 million (the donation is 5,000 pounds, or $7,500).
The Point (Saranac Lake, N.Y.)
For around $2,000 a night, you can stay in some top-of-the-line accommodations at The Point.
Once the vacation retreat of William Avery Rockefeller, Forbes' only 5-star resort in Upstate New York features 11 guest rooms spread across four log buildings or a truly unique and old-time feel.
Unlike many of the top resorts in the world, The Point doesn't offer TV, cell phone service or WiFi in any of the rooms. This is truly a getaway for the rich and famous who simply want to kick back and have some peace and quiet.
You are serviced and pampered throughout your stay, whether you are dining on roasted duck and Alaskan salmon, taking a tour of the region on a speedboat, playing croquet with the guests or playing golf at a PGA course designed in the 1920s. Luxury, sophistication and elegance surround you at this resort.
Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi
Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi was not only named "World's Leading Luxury Beach Resort" at the 2013 World Travel Awards, its "Palace Suite" was also named "World's Leading Hotel Suite."
Boasting 394 rooms, several pools and fountains, a beautiful beach, a spa, marble from 13 different countries and 1,000 chandeliers, the gorgeous resort is a sight to behold.
Unique adventures such as camel riding await you, you can ride around in a Rolls Royce, you can fly around in a helicopter or private jet, and nine different restaurants and five different lounges and bars are at your service. Naturally, a butler service is also provided.
A sample booking of the three-bedroom Palace Suite went for AED 61,000 (or about $16,609) per night.
