A trip to Las Vegas with the kids seems a bit preposterous, but amid the ringing of slot machines and wild parties are plenty of kid-friendly attractions. Whether skyrocketing through the air on a rollercoaster of enjoying the beauty of nature, Las Vegas should not only be defined by its sinful temptations but as a fun-filled destination the entire family can enjoy. So before you think about leaving the children at home, here are five attractions specifically designed to keep them entertained.
Adventuredome
If you’re looking for an attraction to completely tire your kids out so you can enjoy a night alone, you might was well head to the largest indoor theme park the U.S. has to offer. Situated in Circus Circus, this more than five acre playground is filled with excited squeals as visitors are sent flying at rapid speeds through the air on rides like the Canyon Blaster, Disk’O and The Inventor.
From ground level, friendly rivalry is encouraged at the midway booths as well as while playing rounds of laser tag and carnival games. Even adults are forced to bring out their inner child on the Ferris wheel, which soars above the Adventuredome’s wild action. With a wealth of exhilarating rides and games to enjoy, your Las Vegas vacation can easily turn into the best family adventure.
Mob Museum
It was only a couple decades ago notorious mobsters dominated Las Vegas’ hotels, but although times have drastically changed, they have certainly left an imprint in the city, which is highlighted at the Mob Museum, an attraction that focuses on the world of organized crime.
Children 10 and under enter for free, but every visitor should enter at their own risk since notorious names like Al Capone and John Gotti are no strangers here. Within its three floors, guests can fire a Tommy gun and witness never-before-seen evidence contained on tapes and surveillance cameras. Whether you live for a good mobster story or are a true believer in law enforcement, every side has a compelling argument that all ages can enjoy at the Mob Museum.
Wildlife Habitat
Even animals come to appreciate Las Vegas’ untamed scenery thanks to the Wildlife Habitat, an attraction that offers visitors a glimpse of the life of flamingoes.
Fittingly located at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, the noise of the buzzing city seemingly disappears once visitors are amongst these pink feathered creatures frolicking on their paradisiacal landscape bathed by trees, waterfalls and slowing streams. Although flamingoes are arguably the Wildlife Habitat’s crowning attraction, other exotic animals make it a delight for children including Japanese koi fish, Chinese pheasants and black swans.
Conservatory and Botanical Garden
As bustling as Las Vegas can be, there’s never a wrong time to stop and smell the roses, which is why the Conservatory and Botanical Garden should make every family’s bucket list.
Offering free access daily, regardless of when you decide to visit every season is highlighted with flowers, lights, ponds and footpaths that cause it to be a great place to take a pleasant walk with nature. So when the large crowds become too much to handle for your little ones, you can thank the Bellagio for creating this unique paradise that is so serene the legendary boulevard seems miles away.
Fall of Atlantis
Of course no visit to Las Vegas would be complete without a show grabbing your full attention. That’s where the Fall of Atlantis comes in handy because for 11 minutes your tots will be unable to tear their eyes away from this awe-inspiring performance.
In order to see this fountain show, guests are invited to step into Caesar’s Forum Shops and watch as their surroundings transform into a world of fantasy centered on King Atlas and his competitive brood. Heightened with fire, water as well as animations, you may have to sit through more than one viewing of the show just to keep the kids happy.
