Although incorporating the feline officially originated in Taiwan, it was the Japanese that kept the quirky themed café a growing phenomenon. But as more and more countries are too joining in on the feline oasis, cat lovers of all kinds can now traips the globe on a hot date with their fur balls to frolic and enjoy a cup of tea in the midst of not one or two but dozens of purring cats.

Of course it wouldn’t be long for a pet-friendly city like San Francisco to get in on the action of cat cafés. With the KitTea making its grand debut later this year, feline lovers will too be able to unwind after a long day with amid the comfort of their cats and other fur balls.
The cat café is prepared to be a haven for all enthusiasts who enjoy petting, playing and listening to their soothing purrs. It will also serve a greater purpose as a refuge for stray cats as well as an adoption center. Even if you want to feel relaxed by just being in their company with a good book, the café ensures that they’ll be happy to greet you hello.
And for an extra $12, you’ll be able to pet their soft fur, and just like humans cats need some time to warm up to unfamiliar faces so at least an hour visit is required in order to gain a new friend. Since the Cat Café Neko no Niwa admirably provides a home for unwanted cats, its feline residents are also given names. So if you really want to grab their attention, you may want to call the names of Kai Kai or Emma and watch these purr-fect animals slowly saunter your way.
Thailand: Purr Cat Café Club
In Bangkok cats don’t necessarily enter heaven, but rather a quaint cat-enthused coffee shop called Purr Cat Café Club. In this pet friendly-lounge the feline is the boss and everyone entering its doors must comply with the animals’ likes. So that means no teasing them, striking them and no feeding them any foods off of the menu- although you might be inclined to because their treats are prepared in the shapes of cats.
With many of them getting their catnap on, this puss-infected café will require much coffee or even a bit of melted chocolate because the ambiance here is so relaxing, that after taking off your shoes to get comfortable, you may be inclined to cuddle with them as well.
