We typically don’t go wandering through museums to find our favorite scents, but you’ll want to if you’re ever in the following five museums. That’s because their fragrances are so powerful they magnetically entertain their guest with history, artifacts and of course blissfully smelling aromas.

Paris, France: Musee du Parfum
Many are lured by the aromas and very few want to leave the Musee du Parfum, a museum dominated by the rich history of the production of perfume in Paris.
From the moment guests arrive in the courtyard surrounding the 19th century mansion, the fragrances pouring out of the museum’s extensive collection of scented displays grab their attention before whisking them off into a 3,000-year journey. Along with a visit to its perfumed past, the museum delights in many artifacts including paintings, jewelry, portraits as well as a barrel that is almost as historic as the EAU de Cologne itself. Barcelona, Spain: Museo del Perfum
In the heart of the bustling city of Barcelona, a gallery encyclopedically filled with bottles of all shapes, sizes, and from various backgrounds adorns the Museo del Perfum. We just can’t explore the world of perfume without taking a trip to the destination that started the luxury craze. The city of Grasse, also known as the capital of perfume, is home to the International Perfume Museum which is a sanctuary dedicated to the French pastime.
The museum's smells alone will drive you insane and once you’re greeted by images, artifacts, history and culture, there will be no escaping the invigorating perfume-making traditions. The International Museum is virtually a feast for the senses, tantalizing the entire body with an aromatic world so rich, you’ll want to take a bit of it home. In that case there are always the shops that entrance visitors with a wide spectrum of treasures infused by the luxuries of France’s world-famous scents.
