You don’t have to stalk travel websites for budget fares if you follow these tips for savings, says U.S. News and World Report.
“Travel pros have plenty of other time-tested hacks for saving and putting travel plans into action,” says Liz Weiss.
First, set up an account for your travel funds.
“Starting a recurring automatic transfer may seem like a simple concept, "but it works," managing editor at Lonely Planet magazine Rebecca Warren tells U.S. News and World Report. "It's hard to spend money that never makes it to your checking account.”
Focusing your vacation on what you love means that you won’t spend money on things you don’t.
“When deciding where to splurge or save on your vacation, consider which experiences and places you value most,” Robert Firpo-Cappiello, editor-in-chief of BudgetTravel.com, tells U.S. News and World Report.
Be realistic about your spending.
