No. 1 - Barcelona
No. 2 - Madrid
No. 3 - Kona

As stated, Kayak utilized its access to consumers' searches over the previous year and found what destinations are on the rise and have "seen the greatest increase in interest among travelers over the last year."
The big winner this year is, of course, Spain with its ornate architecture and rich culture. According to the website, Barcelona has seen a remarkable turn in potential travelers. The Spanish destination has seen a 27 percent increase in flight searches against the previous year's searches, according to Kayak.
If you are inclined, you will want to book about six months out, according to some of the compiled data.
Close behind is Spanish brethren Madrid, which nearly matched search interest with a rate of flight searches that were 24 percent higher than the previous year.
