The Best Jobs for Travel Lovers
Features & Advice Janeen Christoff January 05, 2017

It’s a new year. So, if you love to travel and are looking for a career change, Business Insider has several suggestions if you would like to meld the two together.
Number one on their list is becoming a roadie.
“From audio mixing to lighting design, roadies accompany bands on tour and run the shows behind the scenes. It’s not a job for the faint of heart, with long nights on the road and lots of heavy lifting, but you get the best seat in the house,” writes Talia Lakritz.
If loud music and late nights aren’t your thing but shopping is, try your hand at imports and exports.
“Buying indigenous crafts directly from local artists and shipping them to eager customers means you get to travel and shop for a living,” says Lakritz.
If you are really looking to change things up or haven’t embarked on a career path yet, become an archeologist, recommends Lakritz.

“This one requires more of a commitment—namely, grad school—but if you like spending your days studying history, working outdoors, and uncovering ancient ruins, it doesn’t get much better than this,” she says.
Teaching English is another way to earn a wage abroad.
“There's a worldwide demand for knowledge of the English language, so you can get a job just about anywhere, and spend around a year absorbing your new location and its culture,” says Lakritz.
