There are more travel blogs on the web than cute cat pictures, but how can you tell the real ones from the ones that are just photoshoped? We are sifting through and bringing you some of the best the web has to offer, we just can't promise that it'll be cat-free.
Our Big Fat Travel Adventure

Amy and Andrew are from the UK, but they don't know when they are going to be back. They basically picked up in 2013, said goodbye to all their friends and traveled the world. The reason that this blog piqued my interest was that they are super transparent about the costs that they are incurring at that time. They say that they are living a, "location independent lifestyle," which is a fancy way of saying they live on what they make while in the country that they are currently living in; there are no trust funds here. A great example of how they break down their costs per country can be seen here: Laos Travel Costs For Six Weeks
Amy and Andrew's travel video section is great. They have a four minute or so clip from each place that they have visited. Not too long, not too cheesy. They are doing it right. One of the biggest things that I have been wondering since I have started this column is, "how the heck do all these people teach English as a second language and not speak the native tounge?" Amy and Andrew break down everything you need to know about teaching, including all the good and bad things. Just reading these posts made me think that maybe I could teach English to a foreign class.
One of the best lessons that I have learned from reading their site is that challenging yourself and conquering your fear is not just healthy, it is important. I am finding my own drive while listening to them find theirs.
