Host agency Uniglobe Travel Center (UTC) announced today that early bird registration will close on Dec. 31, 2013 for it’s “Be Amazing”-themed 2014 conference.
The event will be held June 5-6, 2014 at the Starwood Sheraton New Orleans.
“Our program will be rooted in the need for professional travel agents to truly be amazing as we add value and distance ourselves from a commoditized 'point and click' consumer buying environment,” said UTC vice president Betsy Geiser, CTA.
“All conference elements from Speakers to Seminar content to our host cty and social networking functions are designed to energize and hone the already sharp focus of our Agents and qualified UTC prospects.”
Formal conference programming will start the morning of June 5 and conclude with a gala awards dinner the following evening.
“Our agents requested a compressed Education and Training agenda that truly reflected their immediate needs,” Geiser said. “We have constructed a highly efficient agenda which speaks to their articulated needs and also provides our Suppliers with unique and meaningful face to face interaction.”
“Marketing Plan Development and Refinement” and “Top 10 Tips to Maximize Your Host Agency affiliation” are among numerous educational seminars.
Industry expert Sophie Bujold will conduct a social media session while industry vet and travel agent advocate Jim Smith, CTIE will share tips for “Recalibrating Your Entrepreneurial Mind-Set”.
UTC agents can take advantage of early bird registration pricing and register at UTC Agent, UTC¹S intranet “members-only” portal. A negotiated, commissionable hotel rate is also available.
