Ensemble has elected its new board officers.
Terri Jo Lennox, president of Travel Time Inc., has been elected chair of the Ensemble Travel Group Board of Directors, and Gary Pollard, president of Ambassador Tours, will serve as vice chair.
The two travel executives were elected by their fellow board members.
“The role of the board is to provide leadership and oversight to the Ensemble co-presidents and team, while representing the interests of the Ensemble member shareholders in a balanced and fair manner,” said Lennox. “Our focus this year is to continue implementing the initiatives of Ensemble’s Strategy Plan 2020."
Lennox began her career in the travel industry in 1990 and opened her first agency in Calgary in 1998. She joined Ensemble Travel Group, then called GIANTS, in 1998 and has been involved on committees, including compensation & review, finance, and Canadian marketing. Last year, she served as vice chair of the board of directors and takes over the position from Ross Spalding of Crown Cruise Vacations, who is the outgoing chair.
Pollard and Ambassador Tours in San Francisco joined GIANTS in 1969, one year after the consortium was founded.
“Being in business for 50 years in today’s marketplace is unique,” said Pollard.
“The organization has demonstrated that with the right evolving business plan and good management it can continue for another half-century. Longevity and growth are two keys to success,” he added. “First GIANTS and now Ensemble have accomplished both, and with a strong and dedicated board and staff, we can continue for many years to come.”
