Well, Travel Leaders keeps on growing.
Seven new agency members have joined the Travel Leaders Associate program since July 1, according to a release from the company.
The new agency members have 22 locations across seven states—Alabama, California, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Virginia—representing annual sales of about $140 million.
The members include Archer Travel in Montrose, Calif.; Carlisle Travel and Senator Travel in Los Angeles, Calif.; Springdale Travel in Mobile, Ala.; Travel-On in Beltsville, Md.; Travel Time in Lancaster, Penn.; and Veterans Travel Service in Kansas City, Mo.
These are in addition to six other new agency members that joined Travel Leaders in the first half of 2013. These six members represent 16 locations.
“While we have continued to strengthen the Travel Leaders brand on the East Coast, we’re especially excited that we are significantly increasing our brand presence in the all-important Southern California market through the addition of three new members there,” noted Roger E. Block, CTC. “The ‘word on the street’ is that for serious-minded agency owners who specialize in business, luxury and leisure travel, Travel Leaders provides the industry’s most innovative solutions, programs and support. They recognize that we truly serve as an extension of their agencies, allowing them to concentrate on what they do best: sell travel.”
Karen Dunlap, CEO of Travel-On (which includes 11 travel agency locations), was pleased to be a part of Travel Leaders.
“We are thrilled to join Travel Leaders, because it offers our company the optimum blend of corporate and leisure products, tools, resources and financial opportunities unlike any other consortium,” Dunlap said. “We are very impressed with the management team and feel their philosophy, corporate culture and approach to travel closely align with our own. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with this true ‘Leader’ in the industry.”
Perla M. Georgino, President of Senator Travel, added:
“What initially drew me to Travel Leaders were the wonderful opportunities it availed us to remain in close contact with our clientele for all facets of their travel, be they corporate or leisure. Travel Leaders has allowed us to become a truly seamless source for travel. The leads we’ve received from our Agent Profiler participation has shown me that the system works! We never once received a lead or response to any marketing campaign previously. But shortly after becoming a Travel Leaders Associate, we received three in just one day! We’re also thrilled by the very useful ties that Travel Leaders has with vendors including Concur.”
Overall, the latest additions now bring Travel Leaders’ estimated annual sales volume to over $2.8 billion across 357 U.S. locations.
