A Day at Margaritaville at Paradise Cove Beach Resort & Spa
Hotel & Resort Jewel Resorts Kristina Rundquist January 26, 2017

Ever find yourself nibbling on sponge cake, watching the sun bake tourists covered in oil? Ever wish you could?
For guests of Jewel Resorts’ Paradise Cove Beach Resort & Spa, that day has arrived.
This adults-only, all-inclusive beachfront resort located in Runaway Bay, Jamaica, seeks to provide its guests with the utmost in rejuvenation and relaxation, whether it’s water sports, time spent at the Radiant Spa or enjoying one of the many excursions on tap.
And now, guests of this resort can take advantage of more than $1,000 worth of extras, including a party trip to Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville.
Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, patterned after his world-famous paean to days spent lazing on the beach searching for a lost shaker of salt, provides visitors with endless hours of enjoyment. Located near the cruise ship pier, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville offers an experience like no other, where tropical island music acts as the backdrop to a leisurely day spent taking in the sun and relaxing with friends both new and old.
Families will have just as much fun as couples and singles do, thanks to a two-story 100-foot long waterslide that lands daredevils into a freshwater pool below. Other amenities include a rooftop whirlpool hot tub, perfect for relaxing with an ice cold beer and taking in the sunset, and a swim-up bar, where visitors can enjoy what else but a margarita.

When it comes time for a snack or meal, Margaritaville does not disappoint. Start with a round of tasty appetizers, including Volcano Nachos, Lava Lava Shrimp or the Blackened Mini Shrimp Tacos. Can’t decide? Why not get the appetizer platter, where you can sample the favorites. Soups and salads are ideal if you are looking for lighter fare, and the Blackened Ahi Tuna Salad and the Island Taco Salad are always crowd pleasers.
Rather have a burger or sandwich to go along with that ice cold drink? Then the Cheeseburger in Paradise is sure to hit the spot—and yes, since you ask, it does come with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57 and French-fried potatoes. Hungrier patrons will want to sample the Plantain and Coconut Crusted Snapper, the Jerk BBQ Chicken or Jimmy’s Jammin’ Jambalaya. Dessert is also a must with such tasty treats as rum cake, flourless chocolate cake, key lime pie and Bananarama (a fried tortilla-wrapped banana topped with chocolate sauce and vanilla bean ice cream).
Later in the day, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville turns up the heat—and the volume—as the downstairs area becomes a nightclub once the sun goes down. Margaritaville Caribbean Group restaurants and bars are known throughout the area as offering premier dining and evening entertainment, and the Margaritaville in Ocho Rios lives up to this reputation, offering special nights for guests of the nearby resorts and one of Jamaica’s most popular all-inclusive party-experiences, as well as DJs and musical events that rival anything found on the mainland.
