Every year, more than 1 million visitors travel to Panama to witness one of the most important highlights of the country – the canal that connects the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans. However, Panama has also become an extremely popular resort because of its landscapes, waterfalls, stunning beaches, rich culture and endless amount of activities, including birdwatching, white water rafting, surfing, zipline tours and more.
Recognizing a need for more accommodations for this growing tourism area, the brand new 310-room AMResorts Secrets Playa Bonita Panama Resort & Spa opened in January.

Keep the kids home for this one though, because this is an adults-only oceanfront resort that has such amenities as five freeform pools, jungle walkways, ocean view suites, and an expansive, tranquil spa. Secrets Playa Bonita Panama Resort & Spa has 11 seaside towers to choose from with ocean views and a private furnished balcony.
There are several options for dining, including a Market Café; Portofino, a Tuscan-Italian restaurant; Bordeaux, a French-style restaurant; Oceana, a seafood restaurant; and CoCo, for coffee and snacks. There are also four gourmet bars – including a beach, sports and lobby bar — that serve up the spirits.
If there isn’t already enough to do in Panama during your stay, Secrets Playa Bonita Panama Resort & Spa has a host of activities to keep their guests busy, including ping-pong, sport fishing, golf, beach volleyball, yoga, kayaking, pool volleyball and more. Or kick back and rejuvenate at the 10,000 square-foot Secrets Spa by Pevonia.

When you are ready to get off the resort property and explore, Panama has a thriving cultural and entertainment scene with a variety of jazz and night clubs, casinos and shopping with high-end name brands.
You can go on a whale-watching excursion and enjoy the soft Panama City Beach sand, which is actually made of quartz crystals. The Beach and the surrounding areas maintain 37 parks that offer swimming, fishing and boating, nature trails for hiking and biking, picnicking, golf and tennis. You can also charter a boat at St. Andrews Bay, which surrounds much of Panama City Beach, for deep-sea fishing.
