Blue Diamond Resorts Launches Agent Loyalty Program

Blue Diamond Resorts is a relative newcomer when it comes to hotel chains—having started in September of 2011—but its management team is as seasoned as they come.
That’s why it made an immediate outreach to travel agents and launched a U.S. agent loyalty program in December of 2016 that is paying immediate dividends.
“I would say it’s been overwhelming, the response from U.S. retail travel agents,” Todd Kirlik, Corporate Director of Global Sales & Account Development for Blue Diamond Resorts, told TravelPulse.com. “It just tells us the need and the appetite for loyalty that’s out there. We’re really happy in that space.”
The loyalty program, which can be found at bdagentrewards.com, rewards travel agents for booking Memories and Royalton Luxury Resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Saint Lucia, and Dominican Republic.
“Given our company’s vertical integrated strategy, it’s extremely crucial for us to maintain healthy relationships with the travel trade,” Kirlik said. “It’s our first chance at kicking the can with a loyalty program, so we’re looking forward to see how this will enhance our presence in the U.S.”
Here’s how it works: Agents book clients into a Blue Diamond Resort, then register the booking on BDAgentRewards.com. After the client has completed their vacation, agents can redeem the points by converting them into dollars on a preloaded Blue Diamond credit card.
The BDAgentRewards.com program also features a new online media gallery with up-to-date images, fact sheets and information, making it easier than ever to match the right client with the right hotel.

“We believe this is industry-leading in terms of the nature of the dollar value,” Kirlik said. “It rewards agents for selling upper category for special rooms for our programs.”
“The launch of this loyalty program comes at an important time for us,” said Jordi Pelfort, Managing Director of Blue Diamond Resorts. “We have five grand openings within a six-month period and numerous large-scale projects coming soon. We urge our travel agent partners to register and be the first to know about exciting new launches and developments.”
