Monte Carlo Resort and Casino and sbe Entertainment Group announced today that the Double Barrel Roadhouse will open on March 7.
Not only will the dining and entertainment experience become the first authentic roadhouse on The Strip, but it will also be the first outlet to debut at the new Monte Carlo plaza, located on Las Vegas Blvd.
Double Barrel will feature high-octane live music and entertainment, a variety of craft cocktails and beers and a Southern-inspired menu in a 12,000-square-foot, indoor/outdoor space envisioned by award-winning designer Mark Zeff.
“We’ve had incredible collaboration with Monte Carlo and the MGM Resorts team to develop a space and an experience that channels the attitude of a true roadhouse experience defined by great music, great food and high energy live entertainment,” said Mio Danilovic, Vice President of Nightlife Operations, sbe.
Patrick Miller, Monte Carlo’s General Manager, added:
“We announced last year that we were reimagining the front of our resort to give visitors new offerings in an engaging environment. We couldn’t be more excited to open the first of those outlets in partnership with the experienced operators at sbe. Double Barrel is designed to provide the quintessential fun Vegas experience and we know it will deliver.”
The food menu was created by newly named executive chef Michael Vitangeli and is crafted to showcase big, Southern flavors. American classics like crispy smokey chicken wings, mini corn dogs, corn chowder and crispy meatloaf served with sweet bacon-laced ketchup highlight the menu, along with house specialties including Not Your Mama’s Chicken Pot Pie and New Orleans shrimp and grits.
An oversized wood-burning grill is used to create dishes such as the 24 oz. cowboy steak and the slow-cooked crackling pork shank brushed with a bourbon glaze.
For dessert, Double Barrel will offer pie in a jar (served a la mode). That’s in addition to deep-fried s’mores, graham cracker sandwiches filled with marshmallow and chocolate and battered, deep fried and dusted with powdered sugar.
The entertainment hub will also feature a wide array of cocktails, wine and craft beers reminiscent of roadhouse culture. Signature drinks include the Kiwi Collins and the Double Barrel Spiked Ice Tea (a spin on a Long Island iced tea).
Double Barrel will also serve up handcrafted, homemade wine coolers made on site and presented in Mason jars. Bottle service experiences will be available at tables throughout the area, as well.
Add in custom “bar rituals,” live performances on the elevated catwalks surrounding the bars, and lively “DB girls,” and you have yourself a raucous good time.
Double Barrel Roadhouse will begin taking reservations for March 8.
New outlets will start popping up at the Monte Carlo plaza in the weeks following Double Barrel’s launch.
