In 2001, the American Gaming Association (AGA) held its first Global Gaming Expo (G2E), an international gaming show and conference “by the industry and for the industry.” In the past, the G2E has concentrated on the casino side of the house more than any other facet of the business, but reflecting an industry focus shift to resorts, the expo's presentation is about to change.
This year, the AGA is going all-resort-inclusive with their Integrated Resort Experience at G2E from September 29- October 1 in Las Vegas. This event will present travel professionals access to the latest in cutting-edge concepts and technologies, the chance to see the latest in hospitality as it relates to casinos as well as an opportunity to network with high-level executives from food and beverage, meetings and events, spas and more.
The Integrated Resort Experience will include five new segments that will be both represented with interactive demonstrations and innovative seminars. They include:
DWELL – Sleeping Room Concepts
Check out future trends and innovations for sleeping rooms including design, operations, and amenities. Attendees will see the latest in healthy travel environments, in room products, and experiences in this segment.
INDULGE – Food and Beverage
Attendees will get to experience the most profitable categories within gaming resorts with a focus on dining and drinking with unique restaurant, bar, sports, and entertainment concepts. Chef competitions and mixology demonstrations including Food Network Star Steak Shapiro hosting a bracketed chef tournament will take place throughout the expo. Guests will also be able to go in-depth with top mixologists, sommeliers, and cicerones to see the latest developments in the beverage world.
CAPTIVATE – Entertainment
Attendees will see, hear, and touch next-generation products and technologies for theaters, concert halls, event centers, lounge performances, and day and nightclub concepts.
CONNECT – Meetings
The MICE aspect has always proved to be a vital part of the resort business model. At the Integrated Resort Experience, guests can see the latest in “smart, ergonomic and connected meeting rooms with the latest A/V, furnishings, floors, lighting, walls and services to ensure casino meeting spaces are at the forefront of technology, now and in the future.”
ZEN – Stay Well & Spa
Full service resorts are finding that spas offer a chance to expand clientele. Recognizing this, the AGA has added a one-day certification program for executives to become licensed spa managers, in addition to the latest in spa products and general education opportunities.
Of course the core of the G2E show floor will present the latest and greatest in the form of gaming and casino management systems. See the best of what is out there now and what is coming for the future of gaming in resorts throughout the world.
