Hilton Worldwide's upper midscale hotel brand Hampton by Hilton continues to expand its presence in one of Asia's most important markets.
Hilton recently announced the opening of the 223-room Hampton by Hilton Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town.
The hotel is one of 10 Hampton by Hilton openings the McLean, Virginia-based company has planned in China this year.
In a statement, Hilton's Global Head Of Focused Service And Hampton Brand Management Phil Cordell said the new hotel "represents a breakthrough for Hampton's development in the China market."
The opening also highlights Hilton's partnership with Plateno Group, one of China's top hospitality companies.

"China is the 20th country that Hampton has entered, and for the city of Guangzhou, it is not only a strategic city and the 'south gate' of China, but is also the center of politics, economy, science, education and culture of Guangdong Province and the Pearl River Delta," added Cordell.
Hampton by Hilton debuted in China in December 2015 with the first property opening in Sanya, China. However the brand will expand rapidly with more than 400 Hampton properties slated to open over the course of the next decade.
Currently, Hilton's Hampton brand comprises more than 2,100 properties spanning 20 countries and territories.
In addition to city access, Hampton by Hilton Guangzhou Zhjiang New Town features a multi-functional lobby and amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour snack bar and Peter Thomas Roth skin care bath products.
