How to Stay Like a President This Election Day
Hotel & Resort Patrick Clarke October 18, 2016

While you may never be President of the U.S., you can at least stay like one at the Renaissance Blackstone Chicago Hotel this fall.
The four-star hotel across from Grant Park along the shores of Lake Michigan is rolling out the "Stay Like a President Package" in 2016 to commemorate Election Day Nov. 8.
Available Oct. 19 through Nov. 13, the special package includes a minimum two-night stay in one of the hotel's guestrooms, including the three-room Suite of Presidents (pictured above) and the iconic Smoke Filled Suite. Both suites are subject to availability. The Suite of Presidents is where Dwight D. Eisenhower watched his 1952 nomination for president, while the Smoke Filled Suite was the setting where Republican leaders successfully negotiated the nomination of Warren G. Harding back in 1920.
With the Renaissance Blackstone having hosted more than a dozen U.S. presidents over the years, both suites have served as the setting for a plethora of key political moments.
If the historic suites are unavailable, though, the package is available for all other room categories at the hotel.
In addition to luxe accommodations, the package includes several services and amenities designed to treat and make guests feel as if they are the real Commander in Chief. For example, guests will receive a personal shopper and a $500 gift card to help them pick out the perfect presidential outfit.

Guests will also receive black car service from and to the airport and will be greeted by a bottle of champagne at check-in. Meanwhile, any guest staying at the hotel this election season named "Hillary" or "Donald" will receive a complimentary glass of champagne at check-in.
Any guests holding the title of "President" at their job will also receive a free glass of bubbly.
Other notable highlights of the Stay Like a President Package include a four-course meal developed by the hotel's executive chef Aaron McKay, custom breakfast in bed and a welcome amenity or late-night snack. The latter will pay homage to the two candidates' hometowns, with guests being able to choose between New York Cheesecake and a Manhattan cocktail (inspired by Donald Trump's hometown of New York) or a bucket of Garrett Popcorn and a Goose Island 312 or Matilda beer (inspired by Hillary Clinton's hometown of Chicago).
To celebrate the election year, rates for the package start at $2,016.
