Marriott Files Amended Complaint Against Eden Roc

The battle between Marriott International and Eden Roc isn’t over. Marriott International filed an Amended Complaint against the owner of the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach Hotel, seeking millions of dollars in breach of contract damages. In March, the Eden Rock Hotel successfully argued to a New York appeals court that it should vacate an injunction requiring Eden Roc to accept the hotel management services of Marriott International and its Renaissance brand.
Renaissance Hotels will stop managing the property on July, Marriott said. Eden Rock’s owners have hired a new management company. Marriott said the Renaissance hotel brand has successfully operated the Eden Roc Hotel under a long-term management agreement with Eden Roc, LLLP, which is controlled by Key International, since 2005 and contributed financially to its extensive renovations.
