Haiti’s newest hotel, the Marriott Port au Prince, is partnering with JetBlue Airways to offer travelers a special summer package featuring discounted rates and breakfast at the property’s La Sirene restaurant.
From now through August 29, 2015 travelers on JetBlue flights to Port-au-Prince from Fort Lauderdale, Boston or New York’s JFK International Airport will receive a $125 nightly rate plus breakfast for $1 per person during their stay. The offer applies to stays through Aug. 31.
The hotel will in turn donate the breakfast proceeds to MUCI, a Haitian organization that will plant one tree for every dollar donated as a part of a national reforestation program. The Marriott Port au Prince staff is 96 percent Haitian and hotel officials work with 26 local businesses to provide various goods and services.
