Omni Resorts & Hotels increased its western U.S. holdings with the acquisition of the Montelucia Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The 253-room luxury Spanish Andalusian-styled property was purchased from KSL Capital Partners. The new hotel marks an expansion of the Omni’s Resort Collection and will be rebranded as the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia.
It is the sixth property Omni has purchased from KSL Capital Partners. In July 2013, Omni acquired five resorts: Omnit Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas; Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.; Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif.; The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina; and The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia.
Highlights of the Montelucia include the Moroccan-inspired Joya Spa, three resort pools, and five dining outlets such as the critically acclaimed Prado.
“The Montelucia is an exquisite addition to our already impressive collection of high-end resort properties,” said Mike Deitemeyer, president of Omni Hotels & Resorts. “The property is a top attraction for guests seeking a blend of gracious hospitality, personalized service and innovative cuisine.”
The Montelucia Resort is located at the foot of Camelback Mountain, in the upscale area of Paradise Valley which is adjacent to Phoenix and Scottsdale.
