The Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is getting a makeover.
Once the $46 million renovation is complete in May 2018, the property, located in Kamuela, Hawaii, will become The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort.
The long list of upgrades at the hotel includes renovated guest rooms and suites, an entirely new adults-only pool and new dining venues.
While the resort’s full completion and debut are still a few months off, The Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel remains open throughout the refresh process.
Already, 140 of 232 guest rooms have been redesigned and are among the largest on the Kohala Coast.
Four new dining concepts have also opened their doors on the property. Among the new restaurants is Meridia, a Mediterranean inspired offering that includes a display kitchen, craft cocktails and expanded al fresco dining.
Naupaka Beach Grill, an innovative casual restaurant featuring an extensive list of local brews on tap, is yet another new option now available.
Ikena Landing, meanwhile, is the property’s new open-air breakfast venue serving buffet, a la carte options and fresh juices by The Juicery.

Finally, PIko Coffee+Bar, is a barista bar serving Kona Coffee, libations and a light menu, as well as grab n’ go selections.
The recently completed adults-only pool has been designed to be a serene experience overlooking the award-winning Hapuna Beach.
And not to be overlooked, the hotel lobby has also been updated to include such new details as a living wall vertical garden and interactive check-in pods.
The resort shares 1,839 acres of oceanfront property with the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel along the bluffs above the idyllic Hapuna Beach. Both properties aim to immerse guests in the contemporary Hawaiian style.
Once complete, The Westin Beach Hapuna Resort will be the only Westin on the Big Island.
