Sandals Resorts International (SRI) will launch construction of a fourth Saint Lucia resort, 350-room Sandals LaSource Saint Lucia, in 2017 on a 19-acre site adjacent to the existing Sandals Grande Saint Lucian Resort, company officials announced today.
The new property will join the existing Sandals Regency La Toc, Sandals Halcyon and Sandals Grande Saint Lucian resorts to give SRI more than 800 rooms on St. Lucia, establishing the hotelier as the island’s largest, said company officials.
Sandals LaSource Saint Lucia will feature a variety of premium accommodation categories, including Sky Pool Butler suites and swim-up Rondoval Suites that include butler service. On-property entertainment will include a main stage with a 20-foot high LED screen and a mobile DJ party. Sandals LaSource Saint Lucia guests will have optional use of services and facilities at each of the island’s four Sandals properties.
Public areas will include a contemporary open lobby featuring a multi-purpose “living room” with a piano bar, bowling and games, and a European-style plaza featuring shops and entertainment. Dining options will include nine restaurants plus Café de Paris, a French patisserie. A butler lounge will be available for guests with late departures, and facilities will include a Red Lane spa.
“We are very excited about the addition of this six-star resort and what it means not just for Sandals but for Saint Lucia,” said Gordon “Butch” Stewart, SRI’s chairman. “We are thankful for the support we have received in Saint Lucia throughout the years and we look forward to revolutionizing the hospitality industry and to giving our guests a new level of luxury.”
