South Africa’s Twelve Apostles Hotel Installs New Green Lighting

The luxury Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa installed innovative, energy-saving LED lighting technology on a large scale. The conversion of public area lighting to LED is complete; the long-term goal is to convert all lighting in the hotel, producing electricity savings of up to 70 percent.
According to Horst Frehse, general manager, “This project is in line with our sustainability policy. We are committed to efficiently managing and measuring our energy needs. The Red Carnation Hotel Collection worldwide has a policy of reduce, reuse and recycle, and we use products, suppliers and materials that support and encourage sustainable practices.”
Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is a five-star hotel near Cape Town, set over the Atlantic Ocean, flanked by The Twelve Apostles mountain range.
