If you've ever wondered what it would be like to spend the night in a hotel room attached to a Ferris wheel suspended above water, we've got good news, you aren't alone.
The bad news, if such an accommodation ever becomes reality, it's unlikely to be permanent.
The Telegraph reports French architects are planning a temporary water wheel hotel along the banks of the Seine River that would feature 19 rotating pods powered by the river current.
The hotel, which would span roughly 100 feet in diameter, would resemble the much larger London Eye, completing one full rotation every 30 minutes.
Paris officials confirmed the plan is being considered, but French regulations for temporary structures would require the hotel to be moved to a different site every six months.
But because the hotel would only be temporary, it's possible it could travel to other places.
"It is made of wood and it will only take four days to assemble or dismantle it, so it could be transported by barge and re-erected elsewhere on the river," architect Maxime Barbier told the Telegraph.
What's more, the barge would be transformed into a bar and restaurant where guests could stretch their legs after a night spent inside the 12-foot cylindrical pods, which "will have a toilet and bathroom, with a tank under the floor to collect waste water, which will be emptied by a pump every morning, but water usage will be limited to 30 liters a day," according to Barbier.
The pods will also be soundproofed and feature fire prevention systems.
Despite the once-in-a-lifetime type of nature, the experience isn't just for the rich and famous, with a night costing roughly 300 euros ($332).
Officials from Paris and Bordeaux have expressed interest in the plan. However, Barbier told the Telegraph that Bordeaux officials will have fewer obstacles to clear.
