The World's First-Ever Pop-Up Sand Hostel

Hostelworld is rolling out a one-of-a-kind accommodation that's sure to be a hit with beach lovers.
The booking site has teamed up with Gold Coast Tourism to launch the world's first sand hostel in Australia.
Developed by famed production designer, Jon Dowding, best known for his work on "Mad Max" and "The Blue Lagoon," the unique hostel opened up on Australia's Gold Coast this week.
The only downside? It's temporary.
The pop-up sand hostel, which required over 26 tons of sand, will be open Wednesday through Friday, meaning only a lucky few will be able to experience it firsthand.
The hostel features an eight-bed dorm and a private double room as well as a plethora of highlights along the Gold Coast's stunning oceanfront.
Social spaces include an open-air chill out area and bar while entertainment options include beach volleyball and cricket, surfing classes, yoga lessons, live music and sand sculpting master classes led by renowned sand artist Denis Masoud.

Guests at the sand hostel also receive a food token to redeem at either Food Kartel or Zicatela Mexican and a drinks voucher for Burleigh Brewing.
The relaxing spot also includes free breakfast from BSKT.
