Trade Your Tie for a Free Drink at One of These Crowne Plaza Hotels
Hotel & Resort Patrick Clarke March 25, 2019

The latest Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts promotion is a dream come true for most business travelers as it might just be as cathartic as the iconic printer scene from "Office Space."
The hotel brand will launch "The Great Tie Trade" on Wednesday, giving both guests and locals alike the opportunity to hand over a tie to a bartender at any one of four participating locations across the country to receive a complimentary cocktail or mocktail in return.
Eligible "ties" include scarves, ascots, bandanas, bow ties, neckties and neckerchiefs.
The Great Tie Trade will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, Crowne Plaza HY36 Midtown Manhattan, Crowne Plaza Seattle Downtown and Crowne Plaza Denver Downtown.
The menu of specialty cocktails and mocktails available will include the brand’s best-selling Crowned Jewel Mule.
Meanwhile, guests can rest assured that their tie is going to a good cause as Crowne Plaza is collaborating with Isaac Amala and Liz Simpson-Chin. The creative team known for their unique sculptures utilizing neckties will create an installation in real time using the ties traded in at Crowne Plaza Seattle Downtown.
Crowne Plaza points out that recent studies have shown that ties lower blood flow to the brain and ultimately impact mental sharpness as a result.
